Meeting with VA Commissioner Grinder, State of TN

On September 14, 2011 Members of the TVBA met with the head veteran for the state of Tennessee, Veterans Affairs Commissioner Many-Bears Grinder. The purpose of this meeting was to educate the Commissioner on issues that pertain to the veteran business owner.  We asked that the state VA office give “Veterans First” contracting preference when purchasing goods and services for the veterans of Tennessee.  The commissioner also enlightened our members on the issues that our veterans face, and how the state is addressing those issues.  This was a great session and this relationship continues to grow.
